Emergency Notification Service

SWIFT911™

In an effort to provide more reliable communications with customers, the Jackson Township Municipal Utilities Authority (Authority) has implemented SWIFT911™ (through SwiftReach Networks, Inc.) as our Emergency Notification Service.

What is SWIFT911™?

SWIFT911™ is a high speed notification program with the capability of delivering thousands of recorded messages to Authority customers, via telephone, e-mail, text or pager in a matter of minutes.

The data currently in use with SWIFT911™ has been provided by a third party data provider and only includes listed telephone numbers. It is important for residents and business owners to provide their preferred contact information such as unlisted or non-published telephone numbers, cell phone numbers, pager numbers and/or e-mail addresses.

Accurate phone numbers in the database help to ensure emergency information will be passed on to everyone in a timely fashion.

Who activates SWIFT911™?

Activated by the Authority only, the SWIFT911™ system can contact up to four telephone numbers until reaching the designated party with the emergency message(s).

All of the calls received will show up on Caller ID as 'Jackson Township MUA'. Personal information will not be provided to any outside agencies or companies.

How are emergency messages delivered?

Messages can be delivered via the following methods:

  • A voice message to a telephone number or cell phone number.
  • Text messages can be delivered to a cell phone or pager.
  • E-mail messages can be delivered to a designated e-mail account.
  • Emergency messages can be sent to TTY (teletypewriter) phones used by those who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Do all Authority customers have to receive emergency messages?

The system employs a 'Do Not Call' component for those who do not wish to receive emergency alerts.

Use the portal below to update the method of message delivery from the listed phone number provided by the third party data provider or to have your name and number omitted from the call list.
